Established in 1974, RONASS has been growing since and is justifiably proud of the fact that it is one of the Country's leading manufacturers' and marketers of high quality paints and surface coatings that match the most discerning of international standards.

The Company has never compromised on quality. Relying on the latest equipment, in the hands of a highly trained, skilled and experienced staff of about 130 workers, the Company is capable of producing over 3.5 million gallons of quality paints and other protective coatings annually from raw material sourced from Asia, Europe and the domestic market to maintain its international standards. RONASS is located on a 300'000 square meter lot near Arak, about 300 Km south of Tehran. It has over 36,000 square meter of efficient laboratory, production and storage facilities for the manufacturing and distribution of paint.

The Company resorts to pragmatic and far-seeing marketing policies, that takes into account all the relevant demographic, geographic and economic considerations, to produce and market a wide range of paints, protective coatings and modified alkyd resin that would appeal to all the strata of society and industry. This attribute together with its non-compromising stand on high quality has contributed to RONASS becoming the best paint manufacturing facility in Iran and was the winner of the Annual ISIRI Standard Award for six consecutive years.

 

LIQUID PAINTS & COATINGS:

The nominal production capacity for decorative paints and industrial finishes is 14,000 tons pre annum, producing a variety of paints including:

Liquid paints / coatings plant has its own R&D and QC laboratories.

 

ALKYD RESIN:

Alkyd resin manufacturing section has been started to work in 1994, and has been operating under the RONASS PAD brand. The nominal capacity of this section is 14,000 tons per year.

A well-equipped QC lab, and a scaled down pilot plant control the quality of the manufactured resin aside from working on development of new and more innovative products. The range of resin products include:

  • Short Oil Alkyd Resins
  •  Medium Oil Alkyd Resins
  • Long Oil Alkyd Resins
  • Modified Alkyd Resins


 

PRODUCT MIX:

In 2004, the largest share in RONASS production mix belong to protective coating and industrial finishes @ 42%  by weight, followed by decorative paints with 32%, alkyd resins with 26%, and 1'500'000 tin cans in two different sizes (quarts and gallons).

 

Achievements & Certificates:

v      RONASS has been chosen as the best paint manufacturing facility with the highest quality by the ISIRI (Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran) for six consecutive years.

 

v      RONASS has been awarded a "Green Industry" certificated by the Iranian Environmental Agency in the year 2000.

 

v      RONASS has been able to obtain quality certificates from Germanischer Lloyd, one of the most reputable surveying institutes in the world, for number of coating systems.

v      After completing a management training program offered by IGS (Iran Group of Surveyors), RONASS has been granted the ISO 9001:2000 certificated by the British Standard Institute in early 2005.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

HUMAN RESOURCES:

RONASS employs about 130 people, out of whom 17% are university graduates, 11% have technical certificates, and 23% are high school graduates. Emphasizing on R&D and QC, more than 12% of the personnel are working in these departments. Marketing and sales activities are carried out by special teams, composed of sales and technical experts.
